Several designers and stylists are presented, from different generations and traditions. Recorded right before the first heyday of the Antwerp fashion academy, the urge for innovation is still pretty subdued in this programme. ‘Belgian’ fashion still isn’t an accepted notion, meanwhile the discussions keep to the surface, focusing on aspects of fabrication, distribution, the relation to target audiences and lifestyles, and the balance between exclusivity and serial production.
