LABEL_WORK_DESCRIPTION

The artist and film maker plays the part of himself in this feature film that highlights Bucquoy’s relationships of the past two or three years, with the assistance of some ten (ex-)lovers with whom he had a relation in this period. What kind of relations do people enter into? Bucquoy: “Living together or separately—I've tried it but it is too expensive, as my mother used to say. And the lesson of the film: love is something magical, even if it is condemned not to last in the long term. The couple can only be that magic moment, in the same way that art is.

Those moments you remember: 'Manhattan', 'Les Demoiselles d'Avignon', the Monty Python films, Coluche, Woodstock, 'Une saison en enfer'. Magical moments where you live surrounded by antimatter. If it is not that, there is worse than being alone: being two. The film belongs to the grail that is the daily search for happiness.” (source: www.npdoc.be/Bucquoy-Jan)
